Godoy substituir\u00e1 <strong>Milton Ribeiro<\/strong>, que deixou o comando da pasta na segunda-feira, 28, ap\u00f3s pol\u00eamicas com repasse de verbas do minist\u00e9rio a munic\u00edpios escolhidos por pastores sem liga\u00e7\u00e3o com a pasta. Godoy chegou ao MEC no cargo de secret\u00e1rio executivo em julho de 2020, mesmo per\u00edodo em que Milton Ribeiro esteve a frente da pasta. Com a nomea\u00e7\u00e3o, ele se tornou o quinto nome a ocupar o posto de ministro da Educa\u00e7\u00e3o durante o governo de <strong>Jair Bolsonaro<\/strong> (PL).
