Em suas palavras, a demiss\u00e3o parece ter sido um chamado divino para seguir um caminho diferente e mais significativo para sua vida e para a comunidade.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">O chamado ganhou corpo quando a <strong>River&#8217;s Edge Fellowship<\/strong> convidou-a para liderar o minist\u00e9rio <strong>Loaves and Fishes<\/strong>, um banco de alimentos que precisava crescer. Em seis anos, o projeto se tornou refer\u00eancia local ao combinar assist\u00eancia social com evangeliza\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hoje, volunt\u00e1rios distribuem entre 30 e 50 <strong>cestas b\u00e1sicas<\/strong> por noite e preparam cerca de 250 refei\u00e7\u00f5es por semana, em quatro dias. As cestas, com aproximadamente 18 quilos de alimentos n\u00e3o perec\u00edveis, s\u00e3o entregues no estacionamento e em um ponto do galp\u00e3o onde funciona o minist\u00e9rio.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Em Elizabethton, cidade com cerca de 25 mil habitantes, desafios como pobreza e v\u00edcios moldam o cen\u00e1rio. A organiza\u00e7\u00e3o usa a distribui\u00e7\u00e3o de alimentos como estrat\u00e9gia evangel\u00edstica, atraindo fam\u00edlias que, mesmo com poucos recursos, passam a participar da igreja e a colaborar como volunt\u00e1rias.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Entre os casos de transforma\u00e7\u00e3o est\u00e1 Jessica, que enfrentou dificuldades financeiras, um div\u00f3rcio e chegou a morar no carro enquanto trabalhava em tempo integral. Ao conhecer o minist\u00e9rio, passou a frequentar as atividades e hoje dedica-se como volunt\u00e1ria di\u00e1ria, conectando f\u00e9, partilha e esperan\u00e7a.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Al\u00e9m da comida, a igreja mant\u00e9m um espa\u00e7o para pessoas em situa\u00e7\u00e3o de rua com tr\u00eas chuveiros, roupas limpas, toalhas, cobertores e kits de higiene. Os volunt\u00e1rios relatam que os freezers est\u00e3o sempre cheios de doa\u00e7\u00f5es, um sinal de b\u00ean\u00e7\u00e3os que se multiplicam no dia a dia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mesmo ap\u00f3s um diagn\u00f3stico que a deixou em cadeira de rodas, Serena segue \u00e0 frente do minist\u00e9rio, coordenando doa\u00e7\u00f5es, buscando parceiros e fortalecendo rela\u00e7\u00f5es com empresas e organiza\u00e7\u00f5es locais. \u201cDeus nos aben\u00e7oa, mas n\u00e3o basta esperar pelas ben\u00e7\u00e3os; \u00e9 preciso trabalhar duro e manter a comunidade pr\u00f3xima\u201d, afirma.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A l\u00edder refor\u00e7a que o esfor\u00e7o \u00e9 intenso, por\u00e9m gratificante, pois v\u00ea o impacto direto em pessoas que se importam umas com as outras.
