Segundo o an\u00fancio, feito no evento de lan\u00e7amento da picape Frontier, o dinheiro ser\u00e1 gasto para modernizar a planta fabril e ampliar a capacidade de produ\u00e7\u00e3o, incluindo novos modelos. Atualmente, a Nissan produz o compacto Kicks em Resende. O valor do investimento \u00e9 parecido ao de R$ 1,1 bilh\u00e3o anunciado para o bi\u00eanio de 2021-22, de acordo com um planejamento de curto prazo.<\/p>\n<p>???Nosso objetivo \u00e9 levar inova\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 vida das pessoas e, para tanto, produziremos carros mais limpos e seguros para preservar o meio-ambiente e a vida das pessoas???, disse Ashwani Gupta, diretor operacional da Nissan e segundo na hierarquia global da empresa no mundo. De acordo com Gupta, a estrat\u00e9gia da Nissan at\u00e9 2030 tem tr\u00eas pilares: eletrifica\u00e7\u00e3o, condu\u00e7\u00e3o aut\u00f4noma e conectividade. Nesta quarta, a f\u00e1brica de Resende voltou a operar em dois turnos, e a produ\u00e7\u00e3o do Kicks ser\u00e1 ampliada em 60%, para 400 unidades ao dia.
